How do I get my fish out of it's hiding spot. HELP!!!!?

I would try to take it out and find where it is then put it back in shake it a little and use your hands after they are washed without soap if that doesn't work try feeding him and once he is gone then get it out of there becareful if it won't move it might be a female and have eggs it is protecting so if you don't need the tree out need It in there. Put the rocks and real stiff in and move the tree to the side and if it decides it might switch over to the real wood. But keep that tree Im there just in case
